Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11:07PM This short pixel art/chiptunes documentary is great. One of my favorite indie game developers Jason Rohrer makes an appearance.
I found this awesome website
sarien.net where you can play old Sierra adventure games ported to Javascript and Canvas (via @OMGWTFGAMES). You can actually join other player's games and talk to them. I basically learned how to read playing Space Quest. I just had a flashback from when I was 5 years old and accidentally formatted the hard drive on my 386. My dad was pissed.
If you have an Android phone check out GrandMasterPixel by OMGWTFGAMES. It's a pixel art game with an RPG element.
If you like chiptunes, check out Henry Homesweet. He has quite a few free downloads up on that lastfm page.

Mario, by artist Jimi Benedict
8-bit music and art have become a staple of internet culture. We have street artists like Space Invader, sites like eboy, Gang Garrison (8-bit TF2), and even Engadget uses Bit Shifter for the Engadget Show.
I ran into glomag in NYC a couple of weeks ago, and recognized him from this great Engadget special on chiptunes:
